Reverend Gregory Bittman has been appointed as auxiliary bishop of Edmonton

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI today appointed the Reverend Gregory Bittman as Auxiliary Bishop of Edmonton, Alberta. He will assist the Archbishop of Edmonton, the Most Reverend Richard W. Smith, who is also President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.

A weekend for young adults led by Brother Emile of Taizé will be held in Edmonton from February 23 to 25th, 2007. “Leaving Discouragement Behind – Finding new Hope” is the theme of the weekend.
