The Friends of Sophia are pleased to be hosting Dr. Barbara Reid, OP, who will be presenting a series of three lectures entitled “The Passion of Christ: A Feminist Perspective.” Planned for January 28 and 29, 2007, the lectures will be held at St. Andrew’s College and St. Thomas More College on the university campus. A one woman musical entitled “The Gospel of Mary Magdalene” will be performed on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Andrew’s College Lounge. The musical play was written and composed, and will be performed, by Angie Tysseland. In the musical, the story, spirit, and songs of Mary Magdalene are sung and played with a contemporary spin. The original music is at times meditative, and at times quirky and lively.
