May Brother Roger rest in peace, and rise in glory

It was with shock and sorrow that the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism in Western Canada learned of the tragic death of Brother Roger. It is hard to imagine a person or a community who has done more for the work of Christian unity and reconciliation, and we give thanks to God for Brother Roger’s life and work. Many in our community in Western Canada have been impacted by Taizé, and drawn closer to God and to each other.

We will hold the Taizé community, and the world-wide community inspired by its example, in our prayers during this time of mourning and transition.

May Brother Roger rest in peace, and rise in glory.

Yours in the death and the resurrection of Christ,

Rev. Dr. Jan Bigland-Pritchard, Director
for the staff and Board of the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism
